More and more LA breweries are serving non-alcoholic beers on tap. Think full pours, frothy heads, and the ritual of a brewery afternoon, without the buzz. This list contains 7 different breweries with NA options on tap. (We threw in a few of our favorite spots with canned NA options too).
Highland Park Brewery
Location: Chinatown
NA On Tap: Lager, Hazy IPA, and IPA
You read that right - Highland Park Brewery’s taproom is actually in Chinatown, but the confusion is well worth the choice of three NA beer options on tap. Additionally, the taproom offers NA hop water along with other non-beer options like cider and wine.
Lawless Brewing
Location: North Hollywood
NA On Tap: Hop water
Family-friendly, dog-friendly, and teetotaler-friendly Lawless Brewing has it all. In addition to their NA hop water on tap, they also offer non-beer options like cider, mimosas, cocktails, and mocktails. Check their packed calendar before your visit so you know whether to expect a quiet catch-up with your pals or a live music jam.
Far Field Beer
Location: Lawndale
NA On Tap: Hibiscus flavored sparkling tea
This family-owned gem has an open, beachy vibe, rotating food trucks stationed in the parking lot, and a wide variety of brews. As a standout with a sparkling tea on tap, this spot also offers several canned NA beers.
Paperback Brewing
Location: Glendale
NA On Tap: Juicy IPA
The cooler the label, the worse the brew…right? Not so at Paperback Brewing where the creative brews are just as enjoyable to the graphic novel-style artwork. This little-known spot offers 19 of their own brews on tap as well as wine, cider, and Untitled Art’s first NA IPA.
Solarc Brewing
Location: Eagle Rock
NA On Tap: Herbal tea and Kombucha
We’ll tell it to you straight - this place is a little offbeat, but we‘re here for it. Don’t let the gruit (un-hopped beer) or the tin-foil walls scare you off. Solarc has not one, but two NA options on tap. Lean into the offbeat vibe, maybe catch some live music, and give their brews a try.
Long Beach Beer Lab
Location: Long Beach
NA On Tap: Hop Tonic
Among the 28 items on their drinks menu at either of two laid back locations, Long Beach Beer Lab offers hop tonic on tap as well as several canned NA options. Notably, if you’re feeling a little silly, they also have house-made NA frozen lemonade.
Common Space Brewery
Location: Hawthorne
NA On Tap: Hop water
Another award-winning craft brewery, Common Space is a great option for non-alcoholic tasting. With in-house hop water on tap (yes, this is a thing!), as well as several canned rotating brands for NA brews, and NA micheladas, there’s something for everyone here. Plus, Common Space is home to an adorable “brewery dog,” Dodger.
Honorable Mention: Benny Boy Brewing
Location: Lincoln Heights
Hosting regular events such as speed dating with yours truly, Benny Boy Brewing offers two dozen in-house brewed beer and ciders including a cider slushie (sign us up!) along with several NA options including cider, beer, and hop water. Come for the speed dating in a relaxed ambiance, stay for the tasty brews at this honorable mention!
Honorable Mention: Frogtown Brewery
Location: Frogtown
While there are no NA options on tap, Frogtown Brewery offers several canned NA brews by Athletic Brewing: Lite, West Coast IPA, Hazy IPA, Mexican Copper, and Witbier. Along with 20 craft brews made in-house, rotating food trucks, and a brewery cat named Toad, this spot is a great option for locals.
Honorable Mention: Golden Road
Location: Atwater
Did you know that Golden Road’s famous Mango Cart wheat ale has an NA twin? Having newly discovered this, we had to include it as an honorable mention. Although it’s available at several grocery stores, go straight to the source and try it canned at Golden Road’s brewpub instead!
