- Paola Da Re, chef and founder of Pasta Sisters, grew up in Northern Italy. After moving to the US in 2010 and working as a nanny, Paola and her children opened this restaurant in 2015 to showcase her culinary talent.
Angelini Osteria

- Lasagna Verde ‘Nonna Elvira’ - spinach pasta, beef & veal ragu
- Co-founded by Gino & Elizabeth Angelini in 2001, Angelini Osteria is a well-known Italian staple. Gino, who grew up in the Emilia Romagna region of northern Italy, learned to cook from his mother and grandmother before becoming an award-winning chef and gracing Los Angeles with his talents.

- Hailing from Rome, co-owner Alessandro Iacobelli aims to bring pinsa - a dish similar to pizza - to the LA culinary scene. In addition to the delectable pies, Oste also offers Italian favorites like their classic lasagna.
Palermo Italian Restaurant

- Anthony “Tony” Fanara immigrated to Los Angeles from Sicily in 1963 at age 16. A man of many hats, his ambitions brought him from the Army to electrical engineering to a winery to a bid for California governor in 2022. He’s best known for his successful restaurant, Palermo, in operation since the ‘80s.
Raffaello Ristorante

- Lasagna alla Calabrese - traditional meat, cream, and red sauce
- Ten years after Gino Cutri immigrated to LA from Italy in 1982, he opened Raffaello Ristorante with his brothers, Tony, and Michael. The restaurant is part of a thriving Italian community in San Pedro, and is still owned by Gino.
Osteria Mamma
- Location: Hollywood
- Lasagna - signature meat crepes
- Mamma Loredana Cecchinato brought her recipes from the Veneto region of Italy to LA. She and her son, later joined by her daughter, opened Osteria Mamma in 2010. Although Mamma Loredana has passed, the restaurant is owned and operated by her two children, Filippo Cortivo and Claudia Castaldo.
La Bruschetta

- Lasagna alla Bolognese - traditional meat sauce with house-made noodles
- Born in Genoa, Angelo Peloni spent 5 years on cruise lines before immigrating to the US in 1976. In 1984, he opened La Bruschetta which he now operates with his grandson, Jonathan.
Grano Italian Restaurant
- Location: Duarte
- Lasagna - ricotta, mozzarella, tomato sauce
- Chef and owner, Fabrizio Landi, has traveled to more than 100 countries but the most important (to us) is his native Italy, where he attended a prestigious culinary school. In addition to traditional dishes, Chef Landi draws on his extensive travel to include experimental and gourmet dishes on Grano’s menu.
Celestino
- Location: Pasadena
- Lasagna Bolognese - traditional meat sauce
- After leaving Sicily for California, brothers Celestino, Giacomino, Tanino, and Calogero Drago collectively started or acquired over a dozen restaurants. Celestino’s flagship, aptly named Celestino, is now owned by head chef, Calogero.
